The instant pot is an incredible machine that I recently received for my birthday. I created and learned how to make a quick delicious meal in it.
I’ve been wanting an instant pot for a while now because it has the pressure cooker in it to help speed up meal time. And, my first meal, chicken wings for an appetizing New Year snack, in the instant pot was DELICIOUS and QUICK.
But, the time is deceptive. I recently tried to make rice would only be done in a few minutes. Those few minutes do not include the time to pressurize and depressurize. The instant pot is a pressure cooker that can do multiple things, but it cannot defy the laws of physics.
Anyways, instead of having chicken wings in 4 hours using a crock pot, I had chicken wings in under an hour (including the pressurizing/depressurizing process). After finding a recipe on pinterest, I first started with the saute setting to sear the skin and make it golden brown. Then, I followed the instructions for putting the chicken on the meat rack and added some water to the bottom of the pot. They were quick and delicious! The meat fell right off the bone.
